Dilemas.

One of the hardest things for me to do right now is trying to figure out my schedule in life! I know that sounds so dramatic the fact that i mean, revolving my life around my hockey games, which alright it's a little extreme but come on i feel like i'm behind if i miss them like a weekly television show. Being away now in school, getting a new job adn trying to find an internship is crazy but "They" tell me it pay's off in the end, i hope "Their" right.
Now tonight, the Blackhawks played the Penguins and because of this new schedule i missed the first period and when i started to watch it i must say i was a little bit bummed we were out shooting them and had 4 power plays with no goals, when i started to watch it. They were the PP Masters and we for sure need that back! They ended the game with 1/6 on the PP, AHH!
I was on the other hand very impressed with the Bickell, Olesz, Pirri situation going on tonight. Great play making good chemistry going on there i love it! Pirri has actually impressed me beyind belief through this preseason training camp.
One other big thing i have always had a non like for is the pulling goalie deal, i mean i know it has helped before and you get real excited when it works in your favor but i just never was a fan and when they pulled him, not that he was great tonight or impressed me, but it was the last 50 seconds or so and we already were on a PK and it's preseason i think they might have been better if we kept him and they tried one last run, they started to get some flow at the end? Just not a fan of the goalie pulling. On top of this win we had to extend the Penguins win streak during preseason, come on boys!

All in all i CAN NOT wait for the last preseason game because next saturday they start big boy real game stuff and i want to see if there going to whip some crazyness out on us and shape up a little more.

Stay classy folks.

There are other sports out there...i just only have one on the mind.

Who knew last night when my friend invited me last minute to go to the White Sox game that one they would win the game and two it would be Ozzie Guillen's last game. I sure didn't on account, my nose is always in hockey news, i had no idea! I mean you'd hear like "Is this Ozzie's last season?" but i thought it was just that news that was to get the fans going. It was a pretty fun game and hey they played the Toronto Blue Jays, i apparently can't escape Canada in any way and the Canadian Anthem only made me more pumped for regular hockey season to start.
Speaking of hockey season Whoa Shanahan, i thought this new and improved rule 48(checks to the head) and rule 41(boarding) were all good and dandy until during preseason every single time i go to the NHL site, someone new has gotten suspended or being reviewed for the new changes. Really though i think what he's doing is only going to help out the organization and maybe players are going to start learning, finally, what's acceptable and whats not. If it takes them suspending all the players, ha.
On the other hand this sport is a physical sport and it's know for being a physical sport and you can't take the grit out of them game! It is just such a double ended battle that will end up running in circles FOREVER. People will love the cahnge and people will hate it, it happens.
As for people like Jacques, boy you got what you deserved. I don't know if he forgot what time period we were in but old time hockey fighting "jumping off the bench" hasn't been allowed quiet some time.
Take a gander yourself. It's dirty, come on, Cheap.
Man between fans and players this preseason WHATS GOING ON!! Everyone needs to shape up and get ready for regular season.
Farwell for now.

There Baaaaackk

It may have been a preseason game but a game is a game and The Boys were Back in Town! It felt so good being at the United Center again and of course it was nice leaving with the win. Again it's always great to hear Jim Cornelius blow the top off the place with his amazing rendition of the national anthem. I can't say that they were on fire with the play but hey, Stalberg came to the game and Saad put them over to win it. They looked a bit sloppy in my opinion but i think they have what it takes and all the right players to get where they need to get this year. Toews and Smith were just not seeing eye to eye or conecting with passes to one another, i obviously wasn't the only one who noticed it cause it only last for a couple of lines before they got switched, Phew. It was surprising to see that they had the same amount of shots on goal because it seemed like the Caps were out playing the Hawks quiet a bit. All i can say is they need to work on PP although a lot of the "key" players were not in it would feel a lot better if they could be rock solid with or without them you never know whose going to get hurt, but hey like i said before it's only preseason they are still trimming the roster up and figuring eachother out. i think they got some great potential this year, i can smell the playofffs!

Banana, Really?

Wow, you have to start to wonder about some of these hockey fans these days. I mean from Philly fans spitting on children in the playoffs to Vancouver having a riot, yes, when they lost? To people throwing banana peels at players?

I mean some good rivalry is okay in the sports world but really, really? Throwing a banana at someone who not only one probablly make 3 times more then you can make in your life, two has more skill then you ever would on account of, Oh yeah, HE STILL MADE THE GOAL, good one jackell and three i don't know if you've noticed but we live in the 21st century eh, your going to be a hillbilly then go to a Nascar race, welcome to a real sport.

“I’ve never had a banana thrown at me before... I guess it’s something I obviously have to deal with being a black player playing a predominantly white sport. I’ve grown a lot playing in this league and throughout my whole life. I’m not going to dwell on that. It’s over with now."

I'm sorry but i don't care if your purple, you shouldn't have to say, you guess you have to deal with it, if you got this kind of skill to be playing professionally, you play the game.
So classy fan, you fail. The NHL world doesn't need your support my friend there are plenty of fans who know a good player when they see one.

                                                 You stay classy fans.

"Roo-Wah"

I give him all the credit for why i am so into hockey the way i am. His bobblehead was the first ever hockey collector i ever had, thanks mom by the way. He made me want to play goalie when i was in floor hockey or when my brother wanted to shoot the puck in the driveway, which never believe your brother when he say's "oh you'll be fine" in the net with no protection and they play ice hockey, they act like your forhead is one with the net. I always have found him to be so fascinating and intresting and the greatest ever. I know there are plenty of great goalies out there like a Hextall or Dryden or Plante. But Patrick Roy was just so different he did his own thing always, he deservingly won the Stanley Cup 4 times two times with the Canadiens and two with the Avalanche but Montreal was where he first would shine and make an amazing change in his life from being a young scrowny goalie to one of the greatest goalies ever.I mean the man did the butterfly when his coach urged him to stop, that style is becoming more and more huge nowto amoungest goalies. His dad wrote a book about him that i bought and finished so fast because i thought his life was so intresting i didn't want to put it down. He literlly inspires me and i don't even play hockey but he is the reason i am so passionate for the game, Why i appriciate goalies so much adn how hard there position actually is.

"How would you like a job where, every time you make a mistake, a big red light goes on and 18,000 people boo?"- Jacques Plante

I am a HUGE Chicago Blackhawks fan HUGE, but i was always intrested when i was younger in the Av's because that's who he played for then and i was like "oh yeah i love them," but really i just loved seeing Roy, and i always will have a spot for Montreal in my life, knowing that's where he like became ROY, which is very uncommon for people these days noone willingly picks them as there number 2 team, Ha. But as i got older i realized you start to learn more and more about all teams and all players and if i want to love more then just who plays for what team i was raised up on, i will do just that. No one can tell me differently because i know more now than i have ever about the game and more then just saying oh yeah, Go Hawks, i'm from Chicago so i'll cheer you on. I see what it takes for them to get the status they get and all the different thing's different teams go through and it's so cool to understand it.
I this year actually, like a crazy fan, wrote Roy (my idol) and rewrote what i wanted to say like 4 times before i sent it so i didn't tell him my life but i was seriously like on cloud nine when my mom texted me a picture of the envelope from Quebec i was like "No way." Now i don't know how writting players works these day's especially for retired players i'm sure they don't just sit around reading them and typing individual letters to people, but i like to think the vague little letter i got was "just for me" as if he was saying it to me. I know pathetic right. He is the one person in the world i tell everyone i WILL meet him before i die and i will have him autograph me and get it tattoo'd you wait and see. I mean it doesn't hurt to have dreams or goals, eh?

I mean i could ramble on for hours about this man who has made me the hockey fan i am today but, how much can one take of this Roy talk?

That time again

Ahh, it's that time of year again. Yes, that time of year when facebook and twitter feeds are updating every second on games days and about teams and players and just hockey all season long. The time when your friends say "oh i didn't know you did that" becasue they had blocked your feeds when the first game started. Or maybe that's just me. It's for sure the best time of year a time for yelling at the tv, going to the games and getting really into it so into it you forget to eat!
Summer was way to long this hockey break. A lot of sadness and revamping around the league. Not only did 3 loved enforces die but the KHL lost a whole team and coaches. That was a hard hit in the hockey world, something like that is sad if it were just a plane full of anybody but being a hockey fan it was like i was stopped in my tracks like, Whoa, this is really serious. The ceremony they held for them was emotional beyond words i watched it online and couldn't hold back tears. On th elighter side of thing's a lot of team changing adn revamping went down this offseason, like crazy style, super fun to watch and see everything happening all over. HELLO, Winnipeg is back! I'm not going to lie i was a little bumbed when the Hawks traded away Kopecky but i can't say that i'm dissappointed in what they have going for them this year, Carcillo. I'm actually pretty excited to see a lot of teams this year and how they all pan out i think a lot of them have new changes to get use to and it's going to be exciting!
Just thought i'd start a blog randomly so i have somewhere to hockey talk when stuff starts becoming more thought processed i will get better with them and make them awesome but for now, I Bid You Farwell!
